An old Korean chess book called 象戱圖法(상희도법), said that one kind
of chess called small shogi(소장기=小將棋) have Crossbow(노=弩),
General(장=將), Advisor(사=士), Chariot(차=車), Horses(마=馬),
Cannon(포=砲), and Soldier(보=步), 졸=卒). It mentioned no Elephant.

Li Qingzhao (1084–c. 1151) said there were two Chinese Chess variant:大象戲 and 小象戲 (大小象戲,弈棋,又僅可容二人). But no one understand them.

I think this chess variant mentioned on 象戱圖法 may be 小象戲 in Chinese Chess history.
