The following ideas are inspired by a German game called Torres. 'Torres' is an abstract 3-D game of stacking and moving pieces, for 2-4 players, and you can understand the rules and mechanics in a couple of minutes, but I believe youll need a lot of experience before you can play it with very coherent ideas. Played with all ten 'action cards' in hand, luck is reduced to zero and in this way it is one of the most deep games I have tried. I have thought about the stacking mechanics, it is beautiful to see how the board is growing up, creating new levels of the board each time, and it is possible adapt this idea to a Chess variant, creating a game in which the board is dinamically 3-D, creating stacks in each turn over a square, so the board is being transformed, step by step, in a kind of city with 'buildings', and moves can be performed on the same level squares, or descending/ascending one step and continuing with the usual movement of pieces. This idea needs more refinement, if you have some ideas to show, you can make your suggestions, lets see what is the final result of a possible Stacking-Chess project.
