Another pair of UEVs along similar lines that occur to me are Stewarded Chess and Contrastearded Chess. For the Rook/Bishop/Queen/Knight Stewarded Chess substitutes the Stewapacifier (Rook capturing as Ferz), Stewasnatcher (Wazir capturing as Bishop), Stewardess (Rook capturing as Bishop), and Challenger (Knight capturing as Camel). Contrastewarded Chess substitutes the Contrastewasnatcher (Ferz capturing as Rook), Contrastewapacifier (Bishop capturing as Wazir), Contrastewardess (Bishop capturing as Rook), and Contrachallenger (Camel capturing as Knight). Again the Queen replacement is significantly weaker, the Knight one stronger, and the Bishop one unbound.

The use of the prefixes Gold and Silver here has a great deal to do with that of Ryu Shogi. The Goldrider and Silverider are the direct extensions of Shogi generals to long-range moves, with the Ryu Shogi dragons a further development of these. The Goldrook and Goldmitre are partial riders of the Goldgeneral, and the Silverbishop and Silverwing of the Silvergeneral, as Shogi's Crowned linepieces and Ryu Shogi's dragons are of the Prince.
It is also odd to accuse me of having a taboo on estimating piece values on the very page where I say: 'I estimate that the Nitan is 30% stronger than the FIDE Knight and the Caman only 20%.' I also give some idea of how the partial riders compare with the Rook and Bishop, as well as the obvious consequence of a Queen losing directions.

For day 75 of year 2011, which is 16.March.11, this is Gilman's 75th C.V. alphabetically as ''Inventor.'' What can be said originally after suspending a month this project of matching Gilman's 250 cvs to days? Well, not really suspending, for it is understood to be continual not continuous, and in 5 or 6 years we can hit all 250 of them, just not all at once. The one other comment by Nasmichael Farris asks of Gilman, ''Any game scores you have to share?'' Actually, in contrast to Betza, Gilman's general taboos include all of: estimates of piece values, opening combinations, recorded game scores that Farris inquires of, exampled endgames, problem themes. Contrast Betza's remark in literal majority of write-ups words to effect ''I have not played this,'' to Gilman's recent remark to effect, ''I do not write to be ignored,'' which means partly he knows 95% his cvs will not get played at all. Simply that Gilman mantra is one step beyond that Betza mantra. Across the board, to be played is not why designers do what they do anymore. LIke the other 249 cvs of the author, Goldchess and Silverchess are best understood for coherence starting with the piece-type section and then working up or down (for follow-up). Caution: the Copper, Gold and Silver of Gilman's current comment for McComb's Ryu Shogi have nothing to do with this Goldchess and Silverchess. Pure happenstance of the number 75. masterchess; /a>

Intriguing. How does it play as you have described it? Any gamescores you can share?
