Hi Fergus,
In my match against Marc Wakeman (fisher random chess) i'm not allowed to
send back my reply to him. It keeps stating i have to refresh my browser,in
which i do, and there is still no solution. I've tried two different
browsers and the same results. I thought ,maybe the adjustments you made
might be the problem. In my other games, that i'm currently playing there
aren't any problems.

The message you're getting happens when $oldmovenum >= $movenum. I don't
think I have done anything that would affect this, but if you're still
having problems, I'll look into it after Christmas stuff is over and done
with. Make sure the page you're refreshing is the one you type your move
on, and double check to make sure that it is showing the latest position
of the game. If need be, you might have to empty your cache before you can
refresh the page successfully.

Voting in the poll for a new recognized variant doesn't work; it give a
write permission denied error.

Also, game pages don't seem to have the comment section at the bottom
anymore.

Try the poll again. I have changed the permissions on the ballots and their
directories to 777.

Yes, I have, for the time being, removed the code that gets executed at the bottom of each page, so comments and 'see also' sections will not be displayed. You can use the 'More Information' link at the top of the page to see comments and 'see also' information. I will be bringing back this functionality gradually, so that we can control our resource usage on our host server.

Thanks, David! I see how to get to the comments for game descriptions now.
I can't figure out how to get to the kibbitz pages for GC games, though.
