A good idea would be to manufacture a generic piece that can be usedfor many different variants. I have invented many variants with bifurcation and catapult pieces, for instance. A generic piecewould do for any of these variants. It could look something like this, having four sides on the central body and be as tall as a bishop. It could be quiteelegant and it would differ very much from other pieces.
