Comments/Ratings for a Single Item

I really like the idea here.  It looks like there are 20 types of cards, 5
of each type.  Each game takes two types for the starting decks, another 4
types for the basic set (in every game), and another 10 types in addition. 
This means each game uses 10 out of 14 possible 'extension' cards.  I
feel like it would be better to have a greater variety of cards available
(as in say Dominion) for more randomness and replayability.

Anyway, I'll probably end up buying the game regardless.  Maybe expansion
sets are in order?

Victory Point Games is a small publisher and didn't want to go over 100
cards for a single release, but yes, I'm working on expansions.

The heart of deck-building games, is that they get expansions.

Jeremy, please see if you can get the community here involved, and also get
the word out to the Navia community to, who still has an interest in the
game.

I'm open to suggestions for attracting interest.

I know only the barest essentials of Navia Dratp, and don't personally
know anyone who plays.  I can imagine there might be some overlap of
interest with For the Crown, but I'm hardly going to search for random
Navia forums and spam them with advertisements for my own game.

Is there an entry on here for For the Crown yet?  I know of a few Navia
players who I can let them know about the game.

I have not submitted an entry for For the Crown to chessvariants.org yet; I
suppose I'll have to look into the procedures for that.

I would like to also have blank cards (to write your own) and Limited
format. (Deck building games are sometimes played in two formats,
Constructed and Limited. I prefer Limited.)

For the Crown is a 'deck-building' game in the sense of Dominion, not in
the sense of collectible games like Magic: the Gathering.  You don't build
a deck before the game starts; you build up your deck during the game by
'buying' cards from a common supply.  So unless you're using the terms
in a way I'm not familiar with, the Constructed/Limited distinction
doesn't really apply.

There are no blank cards in the initial release (I wanted to fit in as many
real cards as possible), but I don't see any reason we couldn't sell
blank cards separately in the future if there's interest.

Jeremy, please get For the Crown on here, if it isn't yet.  Also, PLEASE
get blank counters and cards available, and let's get a user community
chatting about the game.  I want it to succeed.  For the Crown has a lot of
potential behind it.

I would also suggest a variant to address concerns some may have about the
randomization of units and actions through shuffling.  Consider the variant
where discard deck is flipped over once played through and not shuffled. 
Players could also initially stack their own decks, if they preferred.

I'm not entirely sure what you hope to do with it, but there you are.

With so complex a system of moves, it might be worth including a few sample
openings to illustrate it.
