Interesting idea!

This is an interesting theme.

Have you done any testing for balance?

I think making an Interactive Diagram would be helpful here in multiple ways:

  1. Giving an illustration of the setup.
  2. Creating clear (non-ASCII) illustrations of the moves.
  3. Testing for balance and practicality.

A game full of slip pieces is intriguing, though.

It probably needs a bit of editing (and the Knight piece needs a better name), but I gave this a shot:

I only have tested it against the Fabulous FIDEs using Play-Test Applet. Though that was back in 2022, I forgor the results.

Would "Forfniqbibade" be a better name for the Sloppy Knight?

Generally, the best practice for assigning names to pieces is to make them easy to pronounce (or fun to say, as in bifferbubberz).

So Sloppy Knight would work better.

I concur. (Actually, I'd give a higher priority to giving names that evoke some sort of visual imagery, but that still makes Sloppy Knight work better.)
