Am I right in understanding that the rules imply the following?
1: A piece is autostopped if continuing would take it beyond the edge of
the board.
2: A piece with momentum from a noncapturing move is autostopped if
continuing would take it to an occupied square.
3: A piece with momentum from a capture is autostopped if continuing
would take it to a square NOT occupied by an enemy.
4: A piece can be autostopped in the middle of a momentum move, so that a
Rook moving from a4 to f4 on an otherwise empty rank would continue to h4
on the next move.
5: The Knight's move is a single step, so that a Knight moving from d2
to b3 would be autostopped immediately rather than continue to the a file.

I think 4 and 5 are wrong.
1.e4 d6? 2.Bb5!+,e6 gives black check because the bishop won't continue
to a6.
2...Nc6,d5 3.Qh5?! d4,B:e6 black K is stopped by pawn, not because it's
move is 'single step'.

Sorry, the piece stopped by pawn is N, not K.
