For the record, here is the new thread mentioned on my Overyang comment:
	With the 201st Decade nearly over, does anyone have wish lists for these pages for the 202nd? Some of you want to see an alphabetic index to Man and Beast, and that will be forthcoming, but what else? I shall start the ball rolling with some of the things that I would like to see. I realise that some of these are harder than others, but the first few would be particularly appreciated.
* Clarity as to how to use ffen2diagcol - I cannot get it to work. For example, why does the array currently posted on the Heroic Round Chess page not work?
* Coloured versions of the following FFEN images - camel, courier, pawnhat, soldier, tank, vizir, wildebeest.
* Rotated tank images.
* A distinct Dabbaba image along the lines of those in other image sets, so that I can replace the unintuitive bird image.
* Coloured and rotated forms of that as well.
* The 'Year invented' field on PYO changed to default to 2011 - it is stuck at 2006 at present - and ideally defaulting to each new year as it arrives.
* A link to a '0-9' index on 'invented/authored' pages with 260+ items
* A basic set of 'theme' tick boxes for PYO pages.
* A facility for updating one's own pre-PYO pages, or failing that having an editor post the submissions to update them!
* A facility for 'aliasing' PYO entries, to allow a multigame page to appear in the index under the names of all relevant games.
* A hex version of FFEN, automatically centring and putting in 3 background colours.

This is my wish:
* That the buttons above the board be made smaller on the Game Courier page. On a 15'' screen one must always scroll down, after every move, in order to see the whole board.

Mats,

I gave the boxes less padding and moved them to the side. Let me know how
it works for you.

M Winther wrote on Mon, Jan 3, 2011 06:17 AM UTC:
That's much better, yes, but there is still a glitch on my 15'' screen. On this
standard size chessboard I cannot immediately see the below border
containing the file characters. This is not a big problem, but if the area above
the board could be diminished slightly, then I needn't scroll to see it.
However, when using big size boards, it's necessary to scroll anyway.

I decreased the height of the contact form so that the header takes less
space. Let me know if that helps.

Yes, now a standard size board fits within a 15'' screen, which is a good
idea. But wouldn't it be more logical to put the blue buttons below the box where you input moves? The game score also belongs in proximity to the board. Ideally, the blue buttons should be vertically aligned to the right.

I see that the default 'Year invented' is still 2006. Is it really so
difficult to fix this?
