Flying Armies2

This is a rules file for Zillions of Games, a Windows program that will let you play any puzzle or strategy board game you can feed it the rules to. With Zillions-of-Games installed, this rules file will let you play this game against your computer.

Flying Armies2 is played on an 8x8 board. Captured pieces are kept in-hand and may be dropped back on board as your own. Pawns promote to knight dabbaba or alfil. There are 4 zrf files, described below. * Army Wars2 -beta1: i have made a 'Sliders' army to join the 4 original armies that battle with each other in the first 'Flying Armies'. The Slider pieces are described as follows .. Queen-2-Slider: slides 1 or 2 squares on the queen lines MooStar: slides 2 squares to make a knight move + non-capture wazir Bishop3: slides 1, 2 or 3 squares diagonally AlibabaWazirSlider: Chinese chess elephant + slides 2 orthogonal + wazir * Sliders: 5 variants with the above mentioned sliders plus the following .. Dracula: slides 2 orthogonal then 2 diagonally outward + wazir Sangzir: Korean chess elephant + wazir XiangStar: Chinese chess elephant + fers Rook3: slides 1, 2 or 3 orthogonally * Makruk: Thai Chess with drops! * MirChess32: David Paulowich's 'MirChess32'! Also David has made another game for this zrf called 'Flying Mir Chess', and i have made a couple based on these games. 'Switch piece set' to choose from 5 different boards. below screen from 'ArmyWars2 -beta1' zrf, 'Sliders vs Shogi' AlibabaWazirSlider on a1, MooStar on b1, Bishop3 on c1 and Queen-2-Slider on e1. The Slider army seems to play nicely against the other 4 armies, i think they may be ok to fight against the powerful Shogi and Chaturanga armies. There are 5 variants on the 'Sliders' zrf with some interesting sliders. 'Sangzir' has a 3 square slide and 'Dracula' has a 4 square slide, making for some fun play for a game with drops :) below screen from 'Sliders' zrf, 'Dracula and Sangzir' Rook3 on a1, MooStar b1, Sangzir c1 and Dracula e1 wow updated only 1 day after release :o ok well, i don't know how i forgot about 'Makruk', shame on me :) below is a screenshot. another day, another update, added another zrf 'MirChess32'!! below is a screenshot.
