The bishop-piece here is far more interesting than the one used in the Java
Applet (http://play.chessvariants.com/erf/EthiopCh.html), which is an
Alfil.  The piece here, a AFG in Betza Notation, seems quite interesting
as it sacrifices the bishop's long moves for it's jumping power, which
gives it faster development and more power in closed positions.

A counterpart for the Rook, an WDH, would also be worthwhile looking at.
