Michael is right, this is Rifle Chess, and another example of what we face with thousands of games and counting. Nice game, Stephane; you were anticipated by W. B. Seabrook: http://www.chessvariants.org/index/displayperson.php?personid=WBSeabrook
[go to 'Invented by' - that URL is too long to put here]
How should this site handle these situations? Should we acknowledge the re-invention by listing them at the end of the original? Under Notes, we could place a statement:
'This game was re-invented in 2007 by S. Burkhart, under the name Capture Chess.' We could even leave the new game page in, without rules, as a pointer to the original.
Or, we could remove all reference to the re-invention.
Or we could ignore the whole thing.
Any comments?
