Hi Roberto. Well, it seems to me from reading the rules that it is indicated that in fact, all pieces are protected from capture when these two pieces are adjacent. But this need not result in a draw. One can still move one's pieces. If all pieces were frozen that would be still another story. To capture again, all one need do is move them out of alignment again, hide one genius from the opposition's genius, hide one's guardian angel from the opposition's guardian angel. It may be that there are cases when one player has such an advantage that the opposing player will want to draw, and that there may be no effective retreat. In which case, adjacency may be seen as a godsend and special drawing device for the player with the inferior condition. So the player with advantage one must be leery. But this is not as strong a drawing tool as the one in Jetan. To win a traditional game of Jetan, one must be careful about when to reveal a decisive advantage or your opponent can easily draw.
