Just to define the point where the pawns get their aditional moves?

If this is the case, this game could have been even better without the River altogether, allowing the Pawns their full range of moves from the start.

I downloaded the Zillions file.

So pawns here (once they cross the river) can also move diagonally forward (in addition to sideways).

You should add this fact (pawn's diagonal forward move) to the exceptions list in the rules page.
