I've had insomnia plenty of times, especially when younger (e.g. due to being anxious about something). In a way it's fortunate I cannot do important sorts of work, i.e. thus being forced to get up early every weekday, since I'm thought to have schizophrenia.

I've discovered lots of ways to fall asleep, should I not wish to stay up late. It may depend on the individual, but in my case camomile tea or a touch of alcohol can do the trick. It's also easier to fall asleep nowadays as I take a number of medications that induce drowsiness as time goes by. My high blood pressure medications in particular can act like knock-out drops.
