The problem I see with the latter is that I consider Courier Chess as an important milestone on the evolutionary path of modern Chess, and consider the Bishop as a descendant of the Courier rather than the Alfil. I still dislike Eagle for F-then-R, though. If a more bird-like name is desired, I would go for Harrier. This at least also exists in a chimeric (or should I say cyborg?) version that is able to take on Elephants...
