Hello,

I am enjoying your Chess Variants website very much. I have a question
about the rules of Chess Contradance and Fast Chess Contradance, and I
hope you can help me.

Is a piece forbidden from (a) moving onto a square where it threatens
(actively) a piece of the other color, OR (b) moving onto a square where
it is threatened (passively) by a piece of the other color, OR (c) both?

The rules for Chess Contradance sound like the passive rule (b), but the
rules for Fast Chess Contradance sound like the active rule (a). Or maybe
they are both correct, and the answer is (c)?

Thank you very much for your time and attention!
