Soon after I discovered this site in the late 90's, I noticed that the site's owner, David Howe, had an email address with my local phone company. Contacting him by email, I asked him if he was local, and it turned out that he was. We then started meeting at a local cafe each week to play Chess variants in person. Since this was a great way for me to get further into Chess variants, I wanted to provide the same kind of opportunity for other members of this site. So that you may find people to play Chess variants with in person, I have written this script to identify your location and to list other members from the same location. This is available only to members of this site, it will not list anyone whose email address is checked as private, and you cannot use it to check who lives in other locations unless you fake your ip address.
