In Part One, we took a look at some of the most common pieces in variant chess. Part Two covered the theme of icons named for animals; Part Three covered military, clergy, and similar things; and Part Four examined the many variants on the six orthodox pieces.

Here's most everything else.

As with the rest of the Icon Clearinghouse, set the graphics directory to /membergraphics/MSiconclearinghouse/ if you want to use these.

Pieces

Most of the pieces here are not without a fitting category; it's just that their categories are so small that several can fit on one page.

Forward & Back

Several pieces move forward like one sort of orthodox piece or common variant piece, and backwards like another.

The names and specific moves of these pieces can vary from one game to another, particularly whether and how the piece moves sideways orthogonally.

That said, the most common pieces from this chart are on the King/Prince row: the Charging Bishop (fKbhK), Charging Knight (ffKbhK), and Charging Rook (fRbhK).

Shogi

These icons, while not specifically resembling shogi pieces, are designed for use with shogi and shogi-esque games.

General Symbols

Sometimes a simple digit or other symbol is all that's needed.

Money

Occasionally there are pieces representing handlers of money, such as Treasurer, Tax Collector, and so forth. Here, you can use whichever icon mostly closely fits the money system you want to represent.

These are icons that don't fit neatly into any of the other categories.

Miscellaneous Pieces

The pieces shown here have XBetza moves associated with them, but aren't really part of any set.

Mystery Pieces

These pieces have listed moves, but (as of this writing) no XBetza to represent them.

General Stuff

These icons either don't have any specific pieces associated with them; have pieces whose moves change from one game to another; or are broadly useful enough to present without a move.
