311. Agent. This is a piece that's sat in my Tinkercad space for several months because after I made it I forgot what it was for. Then I happened to look at Roberto Lavieri's game Chess with Batteries,* and that's the source. (At least, I'm pretty sure.)

In that game, pieces have different moves depending on whether they're next to a special piece called a Battery. The version of the Agent here is based on (though not quite an exact match for) the "Charged" version in CwB. It can move and capture one step, to any adjacent square, or slide orthogonally without capture. It also can capture a piece by jumping over it, landing in the empty space beyond, though it can only do this diagonally if the captured piece is adjacent to the Agent's starting square. Despite my initial misuse of the g modifier, the XBetza turned out to be much less complicated than I expected it to be.

The PTA scores this piece as a little more powerful than a Rook (499 vs 416); and indeed, I think it could work well on just about any size board.

For the model, I went with a "secret agent" vibe, with a hoodie and dark glasses. For a more formal/classic/modern take, you could also use the model that I have for Spy:

*That game would be a very interesting challenge for an Interactive Diagram. Let's see if anyone's up to it! (I'm not.)
