Grolman Chess. Game with sequential movement of pieces of the same color. (8x8, Cells: 64) [All Comments] [Add Comment or Rating]

"Depends on whether you count moves made only automatically as K/R moves. Otherwise the following sequence of White moves, f.ex., would position the white K and K‐side R appropriately:

  1. e4(Ne2,Rg1)
  2. Ng3(Be2,Rf1)
  3. Bh4(Ne2,g3)
  4. Bg6
  5. g4(Ng3,Qe2,Kd1,Re1)
  6. Nh1
  7. Ng3(Rh1,Ke1,Qd1), ending in this position"

According to the rules of standard chess, if a move is made with the king or rook, castling is impossible. Don't forget that the game is played as close as possible to standard chess.

Он был блестящим шахматным композитором. Этот вариант, на мой взгляд, просто жемчужина среди всех вариантов шахмат.

Drawish positions in the sense that there are conditions arise for repeating the position. Yes, there is sennichite, but nevertheless... I meant drawish = boring

I hope it doesn't take as long as with my Vivarta Chess. Let me remind you that my Vivart Chess submission was considered for almost three years. However, here, Minishogi Gold and Silver / 5五将棋金銀 is already recognized by Japanese masters as a separate variant of Minishogi. I have to give a link to Japanese sources where this version of my Minishogi was published, which, of course, is not entirely suitable for the English-speaking public. I would like to be able to redirect interested players to this resource, where everything would be clear and understandable for them. Let me repeat it again: My submission is ready for publication.

Thank you! Here is a test game https://www.chessvariants.com/play/pbm/play.php?game=Jabberwocky+Chess&log=pokshtya-cvgameroom-2024-275-280

The final position in this game is Jabberwocky Mate - The Black King cannot capture the White Rook because then Black would be left without a king.

💡📝Вадря Покштя wrote on Sat, Oct 19 04:15 PM UTC in reply to Florin Lupusoru from Sun Oct 13 09:15 AM:

The "Capture is mandatory" rule was introduced after several test games. Without this rule, the game could go on forever since the usual concept of a checkmate is absent and the cycle of transformation of pieces is closed. However, nothing prevents you from playing without this rule.

I had to add diagrams from a third party site (BGG - Boardgamegeek) to better illustrate the new chess piece. All these diagrams were made on the site musketeerchess.net

All other diagrams were made using a local chess editor.

I ask you to take this into account and allow this version of chess to be published.
