Fork some of those recent Shogi mutations with a Big Shogi, 324 squares in Quadd Chess(2005). ''2x2''-ing each original square is one sure way to expand, be it any other CV at all. Following this script is much the basis of how Karakus gets Giant Chess 16x16 out of 8x8, as seen several comments below. Giant Chess(2000) is ''two-by-twoed'' with some substitutions and also crowding in more pieces. Black's repeat technique here suggests generalizing the method.
