Circe Vulcanici
Keys "s"=save "l"=load "b"=back once
Roberto Gravino, 1979. A popular way to play Circe Chess in Italy. Unlike the standard progressive Circe chess, units return to their putative squares of origin (i.e., the file on which the pawn was captured, the square matching the color where the rook, bishop, or knight was captured). Also, if the return square is occupied, the returning unit will wait. No giving check until the last move of a turn.
These are simple illustrations rather than strong opponents.
